Hampton University junior guard Jericka Jenkins was named HU Athlete of the Week after her outstanding performance on the basketball court.

Jenkins (Lancaster, Texas) averaged 19.5 points and 10.0 assists per game in wins over North Carolina Central and Norfolk State. She recorded her second double-double of the season against NCCU with 17 points and 11 assists, before adding 22 points and nine assists -- to go along with four steals -- on Saturday at Norfolk State.

Jenkins is averaging 12.8 points and a MEAC-best 7.1 assists per game.
