Hampton University senior outside hitter Mianna Armstrong was named Athlete of the Week following her outstanding performance on the volleyball court this past week.

Armstrong (Lomond, Alberta) totaled 29 kills and digs in two matches for the Lady Pirates; she had eight kills and 18 digs at Coppin State on Friday, before adding a career-high 21 kills and 28 digs on Sunday against Morgan State.

She hit .189 for the week as the Lady Pirates went 1-1.
