Hampton University senior outside hitter Mianna Armstrong was named Hampton University Athlete of the Week after her outstanding performance on the volleyball court.

Armstrong (Lomond, Alberta) recorded her seventh double-double of the season against Howard on Sunday, recording 11 kills and 12 digs on defense. She hit .233 as the Lady Pirates swept the Lady Bison and solidified their hold on third place in the MEAC Northern Division.

She also had one service ace and assisted on two blocks.
