Hampton University sophomore Margaret Wilkins was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend on the softball field.

Wilkins (Tustin, Calif.) went 7-for-10 at the plate in a three-game series at Norfolk State on Saturday and Sunday, including a 3-for-4 effort with an RBI in Sunday’s second game. Wilkins also went 2-for-3 in Saturday’s game and in Sunday’s first game.

Wilkins is currently third on the team in batting with a .327 average. She ended the regular season with a five-game hitting streak.
