LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. – Freshman Sydney Jackson recorded the first hat-trick in Hampton University women's soccer history on Monday night scoring the final three goals of the game as the Lady Pirates defeated Lincoln University 5-2.

Jaelyn Leslie got the scoring going at the 20 minute mark of a feed from Jackson for an early 1-0 advantage.   Lincoln used a goal from Averri Glenn 15 minutes later to tie the game as the teams went into half tied 1-1.

In the second half, the teams traded goals in a 50 second span to even the match at 2-all. Jordan Crawford put Hampton up at the 56:45 mark and Alanna Van Nes tied the match 49 seconds later.

From there, it turned into the Jackson show scoring at 71:02 off a feed from Terisha Simmons for the go-ahead goal.   Jackson added unassisted goals at 84:35 and 85:52 to seal her hat trick and the Hampton 5-2 win.
