LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. – Freshman
Sydney Jackson recorded the first hat-trick in Hampton University women's soccer history on Monday night scoring the final three goals of the game as the Lady Pirates defeated Lincoln University 5-2.
Jaelyn Leslie got the scoring going at the 20 minute mark of a feed from Jackson for an early 1-0 advantage.  Lincoln used a goal from Averri Glenn 15 minutes later to tie the game as the teams went into half tied 1-1.
In the second half, the teams traded goals in a 50 second span to even the match at 2-all.
Jordan Crawford put Hampton up at the 56:45 mark and Alanna Van Nes tied the match 49 seconds later.
From there, it turned into the Jackson show scoring at 71:02 off a feed from
Terisha Simmons for the go-ahead goal.  Jackson added unassisted goals at 84:35 and 85:52 to seal her hat trick and the Hampton 5-2 win.
Hampton (2-3-1) will now be off until October 8 when they travel to Emmitsburg, Md. to face Mt. St. Mary's in a 5 pm kick.
