2018 Schedule

HAMPTON, Va. – The 2018 Hampton University men's lacrosse schedule was announced today and the Pirates will host seven of its 13 games at Armstrong Stadium and will face seven new opponents in the schedule.
 
"This will be a good schedule for us with many new faces and over half of our games being played at Armstrong Stadium," said Hampton head coach Lloyd Carter.  "We are looking forward to growing as a team and program against this schedule."
 
The season opens on February 3 when the Pirates host the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial at 2 pm.  A NCAA Division II opponent, the Railsplitters were 8-7 in 2017 and face Hampton for the first time.
 
February will close out on the 23^rd when Hampton hosts the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds at 2 pm.  UDC edged Hampton last year 19-15 at Armstrong Stadium.
 
Hampton opens March with consecutive games for the first time in program history traveling to Greensboro College on March 4 and then hosting Westminster College on March 5 at 2 pm.  The Pirates defeated Greensboro in a defensive struggle 7-5 for its first win in program history last year, while the meeting with Westminster will be the first one between the schools.
 
The Pirates return to Armstrong Stadium on March 14 taking on another first-time opponent in Bethany College at 2 pm. 
 
A stretch of five road games out of six dates commences with Wagner College on March 20 and VMI on March 31.  Those two schools have faced Hampton in each of the previous two years of the program.
April starts with first-time opponent Chowan University coming to Armstrong Stadium on April 4 for a 2pm face-off. 
 
Three more on the road follow as Hampton takes on first time opponents Cleveland State (April 7), Alderson Broaddus (April 10) and a rematch with New Jersey Institute of Technology (April 14).
 
The regular season closes with a pair of home games as Hampton takes on Potomac State College on April 18 and Saint Thomas Aquinas College on April 28 with both starting at 2 pm.
