HAMPTON, Va. (Apr. 3, 2026) … The Hampton University lacrosse team returns to action Saturday when they play host to conference foe Drexel at 11:00 a.m.
Hampton dropped last weekends game against Monmouth 20-10 inside of Kessler Stadium in West Long Branch, N.J.

ABOUT HAMPTON
Freshman Anthony Bardonille, Jr. leads the Pirates with 26 goals on the season, while Maliik Wood (21) and Darius Stanley (10) each have 10 goals or more on the year. Bardonille Jr., Wood, and James Green have each dished out a team high nine assists on the season. Hampton has scored 82 goals on the season with four games to go, after scoring just 72 a season ago.
In the net, Hampton is led by Miles Lancaster's 128 saves on the season, where he currently holds a .443 save percentage, while starting all nine games. He has recorded 10 saves or more in six games for the Pirates. Judah Johnson-Nixon has recorded a team best eight caused turnovers on the season while Amare Ford and Aryon Norton each have seven.
Bardonille Jr. ranks second in the nation among all freshman with 26 goals, and is tied for most goals in a single season in Hampton history.
ABOUT DREXEL
The Dragons enter Saturday with a 6-4 record while also having won two of three conference contests with wins over Fairfield and Monmouth. Witt Crawford leads the Drexel offense with 24 goals on the season to go along with 10 assists. Alec Tulio has also recorded 10 assists on the season to go along with a second best 18 goals.
Liam Kammar leads the Dragons with 12 caused turnovers on the season, while Brendan Donnelly has recorded 101 saves with a save percentage of .528 on the season.
CONSISTENTLY SCORING
Hampton has scored seven goals or more in eight of the teams nine games this season. The Pirates only accomplished that feat twice a season ago.

Anthony Bardonille, Jr. became the first Hampton Pirate to receive a major weekly award by the CAA on Feb. 23, winning CAA Rookie of the Week. The freshman from Washington, D.C. posted four goals and three assists against VMI. He has recorded three hat tricks in seven games this season, and currently leads the team in assists. He then followed that accomplishment up by winning the award again following the teams loss to Monmouth. In that game he tied a school record for goals in a game with six, while also tying the record for goals in a season at 26.
