HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A Greg Heckstall jumper with 13:30 left in the first half brought Hampton to within 11-8, but the Rams then went on a 24-7 run to take a 35-15 lead on a KeShawn Curry layup with 1:55 remaining.

  • Hampton responded scoring the next 17 points as Jermaine Marrow accounted for the first 14 of those.  He hit a pair of jumper then was fouled on consecutive three-point attempts for six foul shots.  A layup with 4:55 left by Marrow closed his run and got Hampton to 57-47.
  • Kalin Fisher was then fouled on a three-point attempt and his three free throws brought Hampton to 57-50 with 4:06 left but that was as close as they got.
