Pierce Johnson scored two goals, while
Jonathan Napier scored one and assisted on another as Hampton men's lacrosse fell 15-3 to Wagner on Monday afternoon.
Napier scored his goal with three seconds left in the first period off a feed from Derian Williams-Sturdivant as Hampton trailed 3-1 after one.
The Pirates got two goals from Johnson over a nearly 2:30 span early in the fourth as he took a pass from Williams-Sturdivant for a tally at 14:29. His second goal came at the 12:01 mark from a Napier pass as Hampton trailed 12-3. Hampton was outshot 39-30, while forcing 23 turnovers by Wagner to 23 of their own.Â
Hampton (2-4) now visits VMI for a March 31 match at noon in Lexington.
