Hampton got its first hit of the game in the top of the third with a two-out double by
DaSha Hill and was stranded. In the fourth,
Taylor Warrick slapped out an infield single but was stranded.
The Lady Pirates got on the board in the sixth as

Alana VanDenburg.  Watts then dropped a sacrifice bunt to score pinch-runner
Camille King for a 2-1 deficit.
Warrick started the seventh with a walk and stole second and third before a fly out ended the game. Gay went the distance with 11 strikeouts and allowed four hits for Longwood.
