HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton volleyball finished a two-game Big South Conference home swing hosting the Panthers of High Point University on Saturday where the visitors scored a 25-18, 27-25, 25-15 win inside Holland Hall.
Senior
Sasha Saric had nine kills,Â
Gabby Calloway added four and seven digs, while
Brooke Irvin chipped in with 23 assists and
Jessica Pugh added 14 digs (7-16, 2-10).
In the first set Hampton trailed 17-22 following a block by
Genevieve Reynolds and Saric. Annie Sullivan push the score to 18-23 with a kill. The Panthers would take the next two points and win the set. The second set saw the Lady Pirates take a 23-20 lead with a kill by Reynolds. The Panthers would tie the score at 25-25 with a kill by Sullivan. The visitors earned the second set with the next two points ending on a service ace by Calloway.
Hampton hits the road as they take on USC-Upstate Friday Nov 15 at 6 pm in Spartanburg, S.C.
