KENT, OH. – Sophomore
Ben Stanley scored 28 points to lead Hampton on Saturday night in a 103-64 loss to Kent State.
Hampton fell behind to a blistering Kent State attack in the first half as the hosts hit 72.4% from the floor (21-of-29), 61.5% from 3-point range (8-of-13) and 90% from the foul line (9-of-10) as they soared to a 60-29 advantage.
Dondre Griffin was the next highest scorer for Hampton with eight points and five assists, while
Saheem Anthony added six on a pair of three-pointers.
Hampton returns home to face St. Peter's on December 28 at 1 pm.
