FARMVILLE, Va. – Hampton closed out its last Big South Conference road series at league leading Longwood dropping a 9-1 decision on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates put a run on the board in the first inning as with one out 
DaSha Hill doubled to left and went to third as 
Brianna Anderson beat out an infield single.  
Kial Watts followed with a run scoring single up the middle to give Hampton an early 1-0 lead.
Longwood responded with two in the first, one in the second, three in the third and sixth innings to end the game via the run-rule.
Hill was 2-for-3 for Hampton, while Anderson, Watts and 
Daniella Milloy each added singles.  Hampton returns home to host Gardner-Webb starting on Saturday at 1 pm in a doubleheader.
