The Short Story:Â Campbell capture a four-set victory over Hampton on Saturday afternoon in the Big South opener for both teams.

BEHIND THE NUMBERS
- Gabby Calloway finished with 16 kills, adding 13 digs to her stat line to lead Hampton.
- Alyah Barkley, added 13 kills for the Lady Pirates.
- Sarah Colla led the Camels to victory, posting 17 kills to go with three service aces and 11 digs.
- Madee Miner led the Camels in assists with 30, and Emily Mitter added 19.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Camels won the first set, 25-19, led by eight kills from Colla.
- Campbell led 21-16 late in set two before Hampton pulled back to within one at 21-20, forcing the Camels to take a timeout. A kill by Heath sparked a 4-0 run to help Campbell reach set point, 24-20. Hampton would respond with a point of their own but another Heath kill secured the 25-21 win for Campbell.
- Hampton jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the third set and did not allow the Camels to get to within five for the remainder of the set. The Pirates pulled away for a 25-18 win, forcing a fourth set.
- In the fourth set, Hampton would take a 20-16 forcing Campbell to take a timeout. The Camels closed out the set on 9-2 run as Colla's 17th kill earned Campbell the 3-1 victory, 25-22.

Hampton will travel to High Point, North Carolina as they take on High Point University on Friday for a 7 p.m. Big South start.
