KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- The Hampton cross country teams finished their 2021 seasons on Friday competing in the Big South Cross Country Championships held at the Ivy Redmon Sports Complex. Hampton's women finished 11
th, while the men took 12
th place.
For the men,
Rushshane Fullerton was the top finisher in 71
st place covering the 8k course in 28:57.7, while
Jeremiah Hill was in 75
th in 29:23.3. Rounding out Hampton's men's side, was Jordan Ross in 79
th (30:22.7),
Dugion Blackman I 85
th (31:26.6) and Coby Price in 87
th (31:40.0).
On the women's side,
Jordan Mozie was the top finisher coming in 39
th as she covered the 5k course in 19:47.2, while Dejah Grant was 64
th in 21:19.6. Rounding out the Lady Pirates were
Zuri Rashad in 73
rd (21:46.4),
Shakeria Johnson in 83
rd (23:00.3) and
Javon Watts in 88
th (24:02.9).
Post-race awards went to
Dugion Blackman and
Zuri Rashad who were named to the Big South All-Academic Teams.
