MECHANICSVILLE, Va. (Aug. 30, 2025) … Hampton University's men's cross country team began its 2025 schedule on Saturday with an 11^th place finish at the Richmond Spider Alumni Open at Pole Green Park.

Senior Mohammed Al-YaFee was the top finisher for Hampton coming in 62^nd as he covered the 6k course in 19:40.2. Junior Khalil Hamid finished 90^th in 20:27.8 to join him in the top 90.

Virginia won the meet with 16 points, followed by William & Mary (80) and Richmond (89) to round out the 13-team meet.
