Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Boiling Springs, NC.- Friday's doubleheader against Garnder-Webb ended in a tough 10-inning double loss for the Lady Pirates on the road at Brinkley Stadium.
 
Game 1 Final: Hampton 1 Gardner-Webb 2
How It Happened: 

• The Pirates Held a single run lead, scored by Junior Kennedi Bedell (Columbus, GA) until the top of the 7^th inning. (1-0)
• At the bottom of the 7^th inning, with all bases loaded, the Runnin'' Bulldogs scored a pair of runs by Mitchell and Goodrum to win the game. (1-2)

Game 2 Final: Hampton 7   Gardner-Webb 8
How It Happened:

• The Lady Pirates came out strong at the top of the first inning, scoring two runs from Senior Emily Kepple (Dayton, OH) and Junior Mo'Ne Davis (Philadelphia, PA) on a throwing error by Webb's center. (3-0)
• The Runnin' Bulldogs answered back, scoring three runs on a home run by Lyon. (3-3)
• Gardner-Webb took the lead at the bottom of the 3^rd inning with another home run by Lyon to hold the lead at the top of the 7^th inning. (7-3)
• Hampton didn't go down without a fight. HU tied the game scoring two runs off a throwing error.
• The Pirates scored two runs on a home run by Senior Casey Walker (Bristow, VA) to knot the score at (7-7).
• Going into the bottom of the 10^th inning, the bulldogs sealed the win after a fielding error allowed Gardner-Webb's Queen to score. (7-8)

Hampton returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, 2022 for their final game against Gardner-Webb at noon.
