Delaware quarterback Nolan Henderson tossed five touchdown passes and the Blue Hen's defense limited Hampton (3-1) to three points in a 35-3 triumph over the Pirates before 16,035 fans in Newark, Del.

The Blue Hens (4-0) built a 28-0 lead after three quarters to snap Hampton's three-game winning streak to start the season. Henderson completed 30 passes in the game, connecting with 12 different receivers. Delaware's Thyrick Pitts caught three touchdown passes in the contest as the Blue Hens remained undefeated.

The Hampton defensive unit recovered a pair of Blue Hen fumbles and intercepted a pass in the game. Jadakis Bonds continued his strong play for the Pirates with three receptions for a total of 44 yards.
