HAMPTON, Va. (10/12/2023) The Lady Pirates will host the UNCW Seahawks this weekend on Saturday and Sunday in Holland Hall.

Hampton dropped two games against the Stony Brook Seawolves two weekends ago, and canceled their matches against Northeastern.
 
Stony Brook Game Summaries
 
Game 1
 
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues led the Lady Pirates in kills with seven followed by Rhisen Davis with five and Rickelle Wescott with three. Kalyn Pierre and Nadja Bulatovic each had eight assists. Wescott and Bulatovic also recorded an ace.
 
On the defensive side of the ball, Davis recorded a career-high 13 digs while Kylah Hunter and Rodrigues each had eight. Tyller Williams and Rickelle Wescott both posted a solo and an assisted block during the match.
 
Game 2
 
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues led the Lady Pirates in kills for the second game in-a-row with seven on the day and Rhisen Davis and Tyller Williams each had five. Kalyn Pierre recorded a season-high 14 assists for Hampton. Nadja Bulatovic posted a career-high two aces in the match.

On the defensive side of the net, Kylah Hunter led the Lady Pirates in digs with 11 and while Davis had seven and Rodrigues six. Rickelle Wescott and Rodrigues each posted a solo block and Bulatovic and Cortni Adams each had a block assist.
 
So Far This Season
 
Madison Clark and Maria Eduarda Rodrigues lead the Lady Pirates in kills with 41 on the season and freshman Rhisen Davis has 35. Kalyn Pierre has taken over setting responsibilities for Hampton and has tallied 53 assists. Rickelle Wescott continues to lead the team in aces with 14.
 
On the defensive side of the net, libero Kylah Hunter has recorded the most digs with 83, while Davis, Clark and Rodrigues each have more than 40. Wescott has provided the most blocks for the Lady Pirates with 24 followed by Tyller Williams with 13.
 
Scouting the Seahawks (8-12, 5-5 CAA)
 
Dottie Hampton is entering her fourth season as the coach of the Seahawks women's volleyball team. She also spent time as the head coach at Niagara and South Carolina.
 
Katie Lanz leads the Seahawks in kills with 159. Teammate Caitlyn Callahan follows next with 146. Belle Schall is the main setter, with 431 assists although Morgan Galligan has played there as well with 341. Jadyn Barry has posted 239 digs on the defensive side of the net which is 57 more than her next teammate. Grace Melnick and Caitlyn Callahan have 57 blocks each.
 
The Lady Pirates are 0-7 in contests against the Seahawks all-time.
