NORFOLK, VA. (Oct. 5th) … Hampton University women's soccer team fell at home this afternoon to Hofstra 4-1. While the Lady Pirates fell to the Pride at home, HU was able to score their first goal in five matches.

How it Happened

From the opening minute of this afternoon's contest, Hofsra controlled the match. The Pride were able to retain possession for most of the first half. In the span of ten minutes, the Pride were able to fire off eight shots.

During the 14th minute of the match, Hofstra found the back of the net making it 1-0. The Pride's offense continued to produce by scoring another goal. This time Sasha McTiffin was able to break away from Hampton's back-line. While Lady Pirates found themselves trailing, Hampton finally was able to limit Hofstra's chances. HU during the final stretch of the half only conceded two shot attempts.

Coming out of the half, the Lady Pirates only trailed by two goals. The Pride would extend their advantage in the 58th minute with another goal from McTiffin.
