HAMPTON, Va. (Oct. 16, 2025) …. The 2025 Hampton University volleyball team hits the road to Buies Creek N.C., for two matches with Campbell. The Pirates are coming off a weekend in which they dropped two matches to Hofstra inside of Holland Hall.
In the Hofstra series, the Pirates were led by Katerina Pappa and Racquel Frazier who each recorded nine kills on the weekend. Ida Wiszomirska led Hampton with 31 assists, and Pappa led the way with 14 digs. Gabriella Prather made her presence known on the defensive side with a team high four blocks.
Though not expected to contend for the conferenec title in 2025, the Camels have jumped out to an early 4-2 record in league play and are currently in third place in the CAA.
Campbell leads the all-time series with Hampton 18-0. The last time the two met was in the 2024 season when Campbell took down Hampton in two nail-biting matches.
ABOUT HAMPTON
Racquel Frazier currently leads the Pirates with 156 kills while Morgan Warren leads the Pirates in assists with 290, best for ninth in the CAA. Nationally, Frazier ranks in the top 150 individually in attacks per set (9.71).
While Frazier leads the Pirates in kills, Katerina Pappa (117), Jaya Rimm (74) and Lillian Campbell (55) have over 50. Pappa (104), Warren (85), Andrade (88), Frazier (78), Rimm (71), Nia Thomas (54) and Dila Derendeli (53) have all logged over 50 digs in 2025. Campbell leads Hampton with 30.0 blocks on the year while Kylah McNeal adds 21.0.
BLOCK PARTY
Lillian Campbell has recorded atleast one block in 13 of the Pirates 19 matches this season. She currently has an 11 match block streak dating back to Sept. 13 against Navy. During this streak, Campbell has recorded multiple blocks in seven matches.
WORLD WIDE PIRATES
The Pirates have quite the variety of areas and regions on its 2025 roster. Four players are from overseas, while 11 players represent six states. Overseas Pirates hail from Turkey, Greece, Poland and Brazil, while the states of Maryland, Georgia, New Jersey, Texas, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia are also represented.
ABOUT CAMPBELL
The Camels are led offensively by Gwen Wolkow who has a team best 204 kills, best for fifth in the CAA. Maja Daca also has more than 150 kills with 171 on the season. The duo of Hannah Pattie (378) and Lauren Wheeler (235) bring in over 500 assists on the season for the Camels. Defensivley, Campbell is led by Barbara Illig's 226 digs and Hailey Heytvelt's 49.0 blocks.
Daca leads the conference in service aces on the season with 32 or 0.62 per set. Campbell currently holds a 12-5 (4-2) record on the season where they have two sweeps in CAA play over William and Mary and UNCW.
