Canyon Steverson added one each as Hampton dropped a 19-6 decision to Bellarmine on Tuesday afternoon.
After trailing 2-0 early, the Pirates got on the board at the 11:17 mark of the first period as Childers blistered the back of the net for the opening tally as Hampton trailed 2-1.
John Allie responded with the first two of his six goals to lead Bellarmine on the day to push the lead to 4-1.

Mamadou Meite for a goal with 7:12 left in the opening stanza as Hampton trailed 4-2.
The Knights then scored the next nine goals to close the half as Hampton trailed 13-2 at halftime. The Pirates opened the second half scoring the first two goals as

Canyon Steverson for his fourth of the season at the 12:22 mark. Then Alston recorded his first goal of the match off a feed from
David Jackson with 5:48 left in the third.
Following a trio of Bellarmine goals, Alston closed his scoring output with a goal with 79 seconds left in the third. Shaw closed out the scoring for Hampton (0-6) with a goal with 3:48 left in the match.
Bellarmine (5-3) was paced by John Allie with six goals and brother Joe Allie with four.
The Pirates open Coastal Athletic Association play on Saturday morning hosting 16
th-ranked Fairfield at 11 a.m. inside Armstrong Stadium.
