HAMPTON, Va. (Aug. 20, 2026) … The Coach Van Malone Football Show is set to debut on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7:00 p.m. at SATE' A NEW AMERICAN EXPERIENCE restaurant located in Newport News before a live audience. The first-year Hampton University coach and host Thomas Phelps have scheduled the following show appearances during the 2026 football season.

August 26 (Thursday), 7 pm
September 10 (Thursday), 7 pm
October 22 (Thursday), 7 pm
November 12 (Thursday), 7 pm
 
Malone will provide a scouting report of the upcoming season along with a preview of the first two games of the season (Virginia University-Lynchburg, Maryland). There is no charge for the public to attend and food and beverages will be available for purchase. The show will later be available on Hampton University's athletics YouTube channel and website (hamptonpirates.com).
