2011 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in 11 games for the Pirates, making seven starts… was fourth on the team with 80 total tackles (including 27 solo stops)… recorded a season-high 24 tackles (nine solo) against Morgan State on Nov. 19… added 18 tackles (eight solo) against Howard on Nov. 5… recorded two sacks on the season… was second on the team in tackles for loss with 10.5 for 28 yards… had 4.5 tackles for a loss of 12 yards against Morgan State… forced a fumble at Norfolk State on Oct. 15… intercepted his lone pass of the season against Delaware State on Nov. 12.

2010 FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in eight games for the Pirates as a reserve… recorded six tackles on the season, including three solo stops… recorded three tackles (two solo) against Norfolk State on Oct. 16.

AUSTIN EAST HIGH SCHOOL
Was on the scout team for football as a freshman and sophomore… was named All-Conference and All-State as a junior… was named Conference Player of the Year as a senior, while also earning All-State honors… was named to the Tennessee Dream Team.

PERSONAL
Born May 15, 1992… son of Robin Johnson and Orin Sykes… has two brothers, Tyshawn and Donavon… nicknamed Ricky… was featured in the Knox News Sentinel… majoring in criminology… wants to work in the Department of Homeland Security.
