Biography

2008 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON
Finished 16th in the shot put (12.74m) and 27th in the discus (35.69m) at the Raleigh Relays… won the shot put at the Murray Neely Invitational, throwing it 12.70 meters, while throwing the discus 32.31 meters to finish 11th… finished third in the shot put (13.33m) and fifth in the discus (39.41m) at the Morgan State Legacy Meet… finished sixth in the javelin throw (30.55m) and seventh in the discus (43.33m) at the MEAC Championships.
 
2007-08 INDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON
Finished fourth in the shot put at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Coach O Invitational with a distance of 12.17 meters… threw the shot put 12.10 meters at the George Mason Father Diamond Invitational to finish fourth… finished eighth in the shot put at the Texas Roadhouse Carolina Classic with a distance of 11.98 meters… finished 14th in the shot put at the MEAC Championships with a distance of 11.25 meters.
 
WOODWARD ACADEMY
Named track Thrower of the Year as a sophomore… set the shot put record her junior year, earning Most Valuable Thrower and Most Valuable Athlete honors… set new shot put and discus records her senior year, again earning Most Valuable Thrower and Most Valuable Athlete honors… was also a varsity cheerleader.
 
PERSONAL
Born March 29, 1990… daughter of Cynthia and Joseph Watkins… has two siblings: brother Justin (15) and sister Jessica (10)… majoring in psychology with a minor in political science and pre-law… aspires to be a criminal justice attorney and eventually becoming a Supreme Court justice.
