2014 R-SOPHOMORE SEASON
First Team All-MEAC… played in nine games for the Pirates, making three starts… led the MEAC with 68.3 receiving yards per game… averaged a MEAC-best 5.6 catches per game… led the team with 615 receiving yards and six touchdowns… had a season-high 123 receiving yards against William & Mary… caught a season-high nine passes for 92 yards at Old Dominion… caught seven passes for 78 yards and a touchdown at Howard… ended the season by catching a touchdown pass in four straight games… was ninth in the MEAC in all-purpose yards (74.7 per game).
 
2013 R-FRESHMAN SEASON
Saw action in 10 games for the Pirates, making seven starts… was second on the team in receiving, catching 22 balls for 408 yards and four touchdowns… averaged 18.5 yards per catch and 40.8 receiving yards per game… caught four passes for a career-high 105 yards and a touchdown against Norfolk State… had three straight games with a touchdown reception: against Norfolk State, against Delaware State, and at Morgan State… also caught four passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in the season finale against Howard.
 
2012 FRESHMAN SEASON
Saw action in two games for the Pirates before redshirting… caught five passes for 100 yards at Florida A&M on Sept. 15… also caught four passes for 21 yards against Old Dominion on Sept. 8.
 
WEST CHARLOTTE HIGH SCHOOL
Scored six touchdowns as a freshman on the JV squad… named JV MVP… moved up to varsity as a sophomore, tallying 800 yards and five touchdowns… went over 1,000 yards and scored 10 touchdowns as a junior, named All-Conference and winning the “Team Before Self” Award… rushed for over 1,800 yards as a senior, scoring 26 touchdowns… was named MVP, All-Conference, and Outstanding County Player… also played basketball all four years.

PERSONAL
Born Aug. 7, 1994… son of Taiwanna and Veola Garrett… has one sibling, Tay-G (16)… aunt Tamara Garrett is a graduate of Hampton University… nicknamed TJ… was featured in the Charlotte Observer… majoring in sports management with a minor in business management… wants to become an athletic director at the college/university level.
