• Averaged 23 kills in each match of the 2023 NC 4A State Playoffs (made it to the sweet sixteen)
• Competed for the Triangle Volleyball Club and 18 Black
• Apart of the #1 ranked 18U club team in the nation by USA Volleyball, City of Oaks Champions (Raleigh, N.C.), Florida Fest Champions (Fort Lauderdale, fla.), and Under Armour 18U National Champions (Louisville, Ky.)
• Earned summa cum laude excellence along with being a member of the National Honor Society
• Had four varsity letters in volleyball and one in track

• Daughter of Drs. David Shumate Sr. and Janelle Shumate (Both Hampton alumni)
• Has two siblings, one sister, Sydnee, and one brother, DJ
• Father played basketball in Croatia, mother was a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys, and uncle played basketball in Egypt
• Hobbies include doing art, dancing, and researching cosmetology
• Majoring in biology
