2014 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Saw action in eight games for the Pirates… … was part of an offensive line that helped Hampton average 163.2 rushing yards per game, ranking fifth in the MEAC… helped Jorrian Washington rank fifth in the conference in rushing (75.8 yards per game)… blocked on the offensive line for four 100-yard rushing games for Hampton running backs, including two at Delaware State (142 yards, Jorrian Washington and 113 yards, Eric Carter Jr.).
 
2013 FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in six games for the Pirates, making five starts… was part of a Pirates offensive line that helped the team average 154.8 rushing yards per game (sixth in the MEAC).
 
YORK HIGH SCHOOL
Split time between the JV and varsity football teams as a freshman… moved permanently to varsity as a sophomore… was named Second Team All-Region as a junior… was First Team All-State and All-Region as a senior… played in the VHSCA All-Star Game… won Bay Rivers District championships as a junior and senior… played JV basketball as a freshman, before moving up to varsity each of the next three years… spent all four years on the varsity track & field team… was All-State in the discus and shot put as a junior and senior.

Born May 25, 1995… son of Darlene Martin and Johnny Cruz Jr…. has one brother, Kareem (15), and two sisters, Kayla (11) and Nariah (2)… was featured in the Daily Press and HRVarsity.com… majoring in kinesiology… wants to become a physical therapist.
