Hampton University sophomore guard Kenia Cole was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the hardwood this past weekend.

Cole (Burtonsville, Md.) hit five of her 13 shots and eight of her nine free throws in Saturday’s 59-46 win at South Carolina State, scoring a career-high 20 points and dishing out a career-high five assists to help the Lady Pirates pick up their first MEAC win of the season.

She also had a block and two steals, while hitting two of her five 3-pointers.
