Hampton University junior skipper Giuditta Di Laghi was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend out on the water.

Di Laghi (Albenga, Italy) finished sixth in the Navy Radial Open this past weekend in Annapolis, Md. with 139 points. By finishing in the top eight of the event, Di Laghi advanced to the Faye Bennett MAISA Women’s Singlehanded Championships, which will be held Sept. 28-29 in Annapolis, Md.

It’s the third straight year in which she qualified for the event.
