Hampton University redshirt-freshman punter Christian Faber-Kinney was named HU Athlete of the Week following his performance this past weekend on the gridiron.

Faber-Kinney (Williamsburg, Va.) not only averaged 41.5 yards per punt in Saturday’s loss at South Carolina State, but he also executed tow fake punts to perfection to keep Hampton drivers going. He completed a 32-yard pass off a fake punt, while turning another fake punt into a 37-yard run.

He is currently seventh in the MEAC in punting, averaging 40.7 yards per punt.
