Hampton University freshman sailor Cristina Ortiz Vivas was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance this past weekend in the water.

Ortiz Vivas (Mexico) sailed in the B Division for the Pirates this past weekend in the Tom Curtin Regatta; in 11 races over the weekend, Hampton’s B Division tallied a win, three second-place finishes, and nine top-5 finishes overall.

Hampton was second in the B Division standings.
