Hampton University freshman Jada Fields was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance this past week on the softball field.

Fields (Woodland Park, N.J.) was a key part of the softball team’s three-game sweep of Coppin State this past weekend, hitting two home runs in the series. She hit a home run and a double in Saturday’s game, driving in two runs.
 
On Sunday, she drove in four runs in the doubleheader, including three in the first game on a three-run home run. Fields has four home runs this season, tied for the team lead.
