Hampton University wideout Twarn Mixson was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance on the football field this past weekend.

Mixson caught a team-high seven passes for a career-high 135 yards in Saturday's 35-20 win over Kentucky State. He caught four touchdown passes, including a 55-yard bomb in the fourth quarter.

A Preseason First Team All-MEAC selection averaged 19.3 yards a catch.
