Hampton University swing player Quinton Chievous was named HU Athlete of the Week following his performance this past weekend on the hardwood.

Chievous set career highs in points (29) and rebounds (23) in the Pirates' season-opening 102-95 loss at Winthrop this past Saturday. He went 12-for-20 from the floor and also had three assists.

Dating back to last season, Chievous has four double-doubles in the last five games.
