Hampton University redshirt junior Christian Faber-Kinney was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance this past weekend at the 2016 MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Faber-Kinney won the men's decathlon with a school-record 6,358 points. In addition, he came in third in the men's javelin, earning All-MEAC honors after recording a mark of 55.28 meters (181 feet, four inches).

His performance helped the Pirates finish fourth in the team standings.
