Hampton University freshman Sheileen Pagan was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the volleyball court this past Friday and Sunday.

Pagan (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico) totaled 12 kills and seven digs as the Lady Pirates opened conference play with a loss against Delaware State and a three-set win over Coppin State. AShe hit .269 over those two matches, committing just five errors in 26 attacks.

After recording four kills against Delaware State on Friday, Pagan had eight kills and a service ace on Sunday against Coppin State, along with seven digs on defense. In all, Pagan contributed 9.0 points in the three-set win.
