Hampton University sophomore linebacker DeVonte' Hawkins was named Athlete of the Week following his outstanding performance on the football field this past weekend.

Hawkins (Knoxville, Tenn.) was pivotal in Hampton’s 22-5 win over Savannah State this past Saturday, leading the team with 13 total tackles. He had five solo stops, while also recording 2.5 tackles for a loss of four yards.
