Hampton University sophomore Teiara Denmark was named HU Athlete of the Week following her outstanding perofrmance over this past weekend.

Denmark (Virginia Beach, Va.) swept the jumping events at the Tribe Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. on Friday and Saturday. She won the long jump with a season-best mark of 5.63 meters, while also taking the triple jump with a jump of 12.00 meters.

She also finished second in the 100-meter run with a time of 12.35.
