Classic Schedule

HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University softball team will host the Lady Pirates Classic Friday through Sunday in Virginia Beach and Hampton. A total of 11 teams will take part in the tournament.

 

Joining Hampton in the Lady Pirates Classic this year will be Barton College, Coppin State, Elizabeth City State, Howard, Pace University, Queensborough Community College, South Carolina State, University of Buffalo, Maryland-Eastern Shore and Winston-Salem State.

 

Hampton won last year's Lady Pirates Classic, beating Maryland-Eastern Shore 14-1 in the championship game.

 

The tournament will start at noon on Friday at the Princess Anne Sports Complex in Virginia Beach, when the Lady Pirates take on Coppin State. Saturday's games, also at the Princess Anne Sports Complex, will begin at 11 a.m.

 

The action on Sunday will start at 9 a.m. at Lady Pirates Field on the campus of Hampton University.
