LADY PIRATES HEAD COACH DAVID SIX RELEASES 2010-11 SCHEDULE

2010-11 WBB Schedule

HAMPTON, Va. –
The Hampton University women's basketball team, looking to defend its conference title, announced its 2010-11 schedule on Monday, a slate that includes two in-season tournaments and 12 home games.
 
The Lady Pirates, under the direction of second-year head coach David Six, will open the season in the Preseason WNIT, traveling to Harrisonburg, Va. on Nov. 12 to face defending Colonial Athletic Association champion James Madison.
 
Hampton's first home game will follow on Nov. 23 against Richmond, before Jacksonville comes to the HU Convocation Center on Nov. 27. The Lady Pirates will then head to Radford on Nov. 29, before coming back to the Convocation Center on Dec. 4 for their first conference game against Howard.
 
After taking on East Carolina in Greenville, N.C. on Dec. 8, the Lady Pirates will come back home on Dec. 10 to take on Florida. Another home game comes on Dec. 19, when Hampton faces Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne at the Convocation Center, before the Lady Pirates compete in the Georgia State Tournament in Atlanta, Ga. on Dec. 29-30.
 
A Jan. 6 tilt at Wake Forest will close out the bulk of Hampton's non-conference schedule, before they head to Baltimore, Md. to face Coppin State on Jan. 8 and Morgan State on Jan. 10. The Lady Pirates will then return to the Convocation Center for a Jan. 15 game against Norfolk State and a Jan. 17 tilt against North Carolina A&T.
 
After road games against Bethune-Cookman on Jan. 22 and Florida A&M on Jan. 24, the Lady Pirates will return home for four straight: against Delaware State on Jan. 29, Maryland-Eastern Shore on Jan. 31, South Carolina State on Feb. 5 and North Carolina Central on Feb. 7.
 
Feb. 12 will see the Lady Pirates cross the James River to take on Norfolk State before they head to Greensboro, N.C. on Feb. 14 to face North Carolina A&T. Bethune-Cookman will then come to the Convocation Center on Feb. 19, before Florida A&M pays Hampton a visit on Feb. 21 for Hampton's final two home games of the season.
 
The Lady Pirates will close out the regular season on Feb. 26 at Delaware State and March 3 at Howard.
 
The 2011 MEAC Basketball Championships will be held March 7-12 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
