HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University women's basketball team will be at home again on Saturday, when the Lady Pirates play host to Southern Miss at the HU Convocation Center at 2 p.m.

David Six the 100th win of his collegiate career. Senior forward
Alyssa Bennett (Hampton, Va.) had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and she was named MEAC Player of the Week.
Freshman guard
Malia Tate-DeFreitas (Harrisburg, Pa.) added 15 points, six rebounds, and four steals, while senior guard
Nicole Hamilton (Hampton, Va.) chipped in 11 points.
Dating back to last season, the Lady Pirates have won 20 of their last 21 games.
The Golden Eagles come into the 2013-14 season, their 10th under head coach Joye Lee-McNelis, with nine newcomers. Southern Miss went 15-16 last year and is picked to finish 13th in the conference this season. The Golden Eagles return just two starters from last season.
The Golden Eagles beat South Alabama 93-68 on Tuesday, thanks to 27 points from Jamierra Faulkner and 23 each from Ashley Folsom and Tamara Jones (Jones leads Southern Miss with 22 points per game).
Hampton is 2-1 all-time against Southern Miss after last season's 78-41 win in Hattiesburg, Miss. on Nov. 9, 2012. This will be Southern Miss' second trip to Hampton; the Lady Pirates beat the Golden Eagles in the Convocation Center 48-47 on Nov. 22, 2002.
The Lady Pirates are 5-19 against schools currently in Conference USA, including a 2-1 mark against Southern Miss. Hampton is 2-5 against East Carolina; 0-3 against Charlotte; 0-2 against Florida Atlantic; 1-1 against North Texas; 0-5 against Old Dominion; 2-1 against Rice; 0-2 against UAB; and 0-2 against Tulane.
Hampton has never faced Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Rice, UTEP, or Texas-San Antonio.
The Lady Pirates were a perfect 11-0 at home last season, and in their four-plus years under Six, they are 41-6 in the HU Convocation Center. Hampton has not lost at home since Jan. 28, 2012, when they fell 69-66 to Coppin State in overtime.
Overall, the Lady Pirates have won 15 straight home games.
