HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University women's basketball team will start action on Sunday in the Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge with the first three games being hosted by University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.
Hampton (0-3) will open the event with the challenge of taking on the host Gamecocks who are ranked in the top four in the national polls on Sunday afternoon at 3pm.  South Carolina is 1-0 after defeating Ohio State 92-80 on Nov. 14. This will be the fourth all-time meeting with South Carolina winning the previous three and will be viewable on the SEC Network+ online.
The next day Hampton will tangle with the Peacocks of Saint Peter's who are 0-1 after losing 106-50 to Penn State on November 11. This will be the third all-time meeting with Hampton winning the previous two.
On Tuesday, Hampton will close out its run in Columbia taking on the University of Maine Black Bears.  Maine starts the weekend with a 1-2 record after losing to Harvard 69-62 on November 15. This will be the first-ever meeting with Maine.
The Lady Pirates will finish the Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge Tournament in Springfield, Ma. on November 27 when they face Lafayette College in a 3:30 pm tip.
