ABOUT HAMPTON
Hampton is 9-7 and 3-0 in MEAC action after defeating Delaware State 83-52 on Saturday in Dover, Delaware.  Sophomore K'lynn Willis scored 16 points to lead four in double figures.  Junior Monnazjea Finney-Smith added 14 points and six rebounds, senior Malia Tate-DeFreitas added 13 points and six rebounds while freshman Ashley Bates had season high 13.
 
ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL
The Eagles enter Monday's game with a record of 3-12 overall and 2-1 in MEAC action after losing 71-40 at Norfolk State on Saturday.  They are paced by Morgan Jones who averages 11.3 points per game and is the only player averaging in double figures.  Deja McClain leads them on the boards averaging 5.7 per game. 
 
LAST TIME VS. NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL
Hampton toppled North Carolina Central 76-42 on Jan. 18, 2016 in Durham, NC as Malia Tate-DeFreitas scored 24 points and Kaylah Lupoe added 20 to lead Hampton as the Lady Pirates hit 56.4% from the field en route to the win.
 
GIVE ME THAT — A LOT
In Saturday's 83-52 win over Delaware State, Hampton forced 41 Delaware State turnovers and had 26 steals in the game.  Those numbers are the best in the tenure of Hampton University head coach David Sox.  The 26 steals are the eighth most this season in NCAA Division I action.
