The Eagles enter Monday's game with a record of 3-12 overall and 2-1 in MEAC action after losing 71-40 at Norfolk State on Saturday. They are paced by Morgan Jones who averages 11.3 points per game and is the only player averaging in double figures. Deja McClain leads them on the boards averaging 5.7 per game.

In Saturday's 83-52 win over Delaware State, Hampton forced 41 Delaware State turnovers and had 26 steals in the game. Those numbers are the best in the tenure of Hampton University head coach David Sox. The 26 steals are the eighth most this season in NCAA Division I action.
