HAMPTON, Va. -- The Hampton University Lady Pirates will start a three-game homestand on Wednesday night when they host the defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champions North Carolina A&T Aggies for a 5pm tip in the HU Convocation Center.

ABOUT HAMPTON
Hampton is 6-7 after defeating Samford 63-57 in the final game of the Florida Gulf Coast Classic on Friday.  Malia Tate-DeFreitas had a season-high 29 points, while Monnazjea Finney-Smith had 17 points and eight rebounds.  Finney-Smith was named to the All-Tournament team.
 
ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA A&T
The Aggies are 4-9 after defeating Francis Marion 72-65 on December 31.  They have won three of their last four games.   Dana Brown leads them in scoring (12.6 ppg), while Aliyah Kilpatrick is second in scoring (11.2 ppg), third in rebounding (5.2 rpg) and leads in steals (37).
 
LAST TIME VS. AGGIES
The Aggies eliminated Hampton from the 2016 MEAC Tournament with a 63-54 decision in the semifinals on March 11.  Tate-DeFreitas had 27 to lead Hampton who was outscored 27-13 in the fourth quarter by the Aggies.

Under David Six, the Lady Pirates are 6-2 against the Aggies.
