HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University Lady Pirates will start the month of February by finishing off a three-game homestand by taking on Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday night starting at 5 pm in the HU Convocation Center.

ABOUT HAMPTON
Hampton is 13-7 and 7-0 in MEAC action after defeating Coppin State 78-54 on Monday night. Freshman
Ashley Bates had season-highs in points (18) and steals (5) to lead four in double figures. Sophomore DeJane' James added 13 points, while freshman
Adria Strothers went 4-of-5 from 3-point range for a season-high 12 points and junior
Monnazjea Finney-Smith had 10.
Mikayla Sayle had a career-high eight rebounds to lead the team on the boards.
ABOUT MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE
Maryland Eastern Shore starts the month of February with an 8-10 overall record and a 2-5 MEAC mark after dropping a 59-58 decision to Savannah State on Monday night at home. Keyera Eaton topped them in scoring in the game with 15 points, while Alexus Hicks and Tori Morris had seven rebounds apiece to lead the team.
ALL-TIME VS. MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE
Hampton has won 13 of the last 14 meetings with Maryland Eastern Shore and holds a 37-7 lead in the overall series. The last meeting was Feb. 6, 2016 and Hampton scored a 76-55 win in Princess Anne, Md.
NEXT UP
Hampton will start a road heavy month of February with the first of two southern trips. On Feb. 4, they'll face Savannah State at 4 pm and then tangle with South Carolina State on Feb. 6 at 5:30 pm.
NSU GAME TIME CHANGE
The final home game of the regular season for the Lady Pirates has been bumped back an hour on the start time as the Battle of the Bay with Norfolk State will now be a 6pm start on Feb. 27.
