HAMPTON, Va. – For the first time in three years, the Hampton University volleyball team earned a bid to the 2017 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday night after defeating Delaware State 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-21 at Holland Hall.
Junior
Reeana Richardson recorded a double-double with 25 kills and 12 digs, while
Lena Washington also had a double-double with 17 kills and 13 digs. Lena Reed-Petracek had a season-high 49 assists, and
Maja Petronijevic had a season-best 28 digs.
Hampton will close out the regular season on Sunday at 1 pm facing Norfolk State on Senior Day. Four Lady Pirate seniors will be recognized in pre-game ceremonies:
Kennedy Kenney,
Mallory Beard,
Erin Napoleon and
Ravyn Richardson.
