ORLANDO, Fla. – The Hampton women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision on Tuesday evening to East Carolina in a match held at the USTA Tennis Complex in Orlando.

Freshman Yulia Kapitanova scored the team point for Hampton winning a three-set match at line four singles over Annija Veinsteina 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (12-10).  In doubles, ECU won at line one and three to take the team point.

Hampton returns to action on Thursday facing Creighton in its final match in Orlando.
