NORFOLK, Va. – The Hampton Lady Pirates tennis team fell in the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference final to Morgan State 4-1 on Saturday at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center on the campus of Old Dominion University.

Morgan State took the doubles point after winning at line one for the clincher 7-5.  In singles, Hampton (11-8) tied the match at 1-1 following a 6-4, 6-0 win by Cherise Slocombe at line four.  Morgan State took a quick 3-1 lead with wins at five and six singles.   A win by Danielle Thompson at line one singles clinched the match for Morgan State.

Earning All-Tournament honors from Hampton was Slocombe at line four singles.
