GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Hampton cross country teams competed Friday night at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational at Lake Kristi with the women finishing seventh.
Jordan Mozie was 35
th to lead the Lady Pirates in 24:18.93 over the 6k course, while Dejah Grant came in 53
rd in 26:27.14, and teammate
Zuri Rashad coming in two seconds behind her in 54
th.
Javon Watts was 73
rd in a time of 28:29.17, while
Shakeria Johnson was 84
th in 30:32.12.
Hampton amassed 220 points to finish seventh in the 12-team event.
On the men's side,
Rushshane Fullerton was the top finisher for Hampton in 45
th covering the 8k Lake Kristi course in 28:40.47. Jordan Ross was in 64
th (30:53.48), while Coby Price was 70
th (31:33.95) and
Jeremiah Hill was 88
th in 37:36.69.
Hampton will close out its season on October 29 at the Big South Championships.
