GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Hampton cross country teams competed Friday night at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational at Lake Kristi with the women finishing seventh.
Jordan Mozie was 35^th to lead the Lady Pirates in 24:18.93 over the 6k course, while Dejah Grant came in 53^rd in 26:27.14, and teammate Zuri Rashad coming in two seconds behind her in 54^th.  Javon Watts was 73^rd in a time of 28:29.17, while Shakeria Johnson was 84^th in 30:32.12.
Hampton amassed 220 points to finish seventh in the 12-team event.
On the men's side, Rushshane Fullerton was the top finisher for Hampton in 45^th covering the 8k Lake Kristi course in 28:40.47.  Jordan Ross was in 64^th (30:53.48), while Coby Price was 70^th (31:33.95) and Jeremiah Hill was 88^th in 37:36.69.
Hampton will close out its season on October 29 at the Big South Championships.
